Personally I love to see a hen with her chicks; and it is soooo much easier when they raise their own. I would get yourself a banty of some sort..... in my experience they all go broody easily..... and introduce her when you bring in the roo. When she goes broody put your sex-linked girl’s fertile eggs under her to hatch out. A lot less work and banties eat soo little and are really entertaining. Just watch out as they like to hide their nests/eggs.
 
I have comet that tried to go broody three times this summer, but she couldnt decide which nest she wanted to set on.
