could be pipping!

Haha, it's crazy how fast these lil guys wanna be born. They're messier than I remember too. Poop everywhere! I need to make it to where they don't step in it.... or I'm gonna be cleaning alotta towels.......... I need to raise the bottom with mesh wire tiny enough that they can hurt themselves and put shavings under it so the poop and food/water drops through. That might be my little project for today if I can get to it. I'll do anything for these duckies to keep them happy healthy and safe!
Very exciting.. and some good ideas on brooders been coming in the last few days.

this morning, I noticed that not only one, but two, of my duck eggs were moving. one of them looked like it might have pipped! but I wonder if I should continue to turn them?

egg #16 (laid on 12/1) looks pipped, egg #18 (laid 12/3) might pip soon. they're not due till at least the 28th or so. sooner or later even.

You should Quit turning them FOUR days before there due date with the Large end slightly turned upwards. You don't lock them down just stop turning them, three days before is when you want to Lock them down.

Thanks, I did not know that!

Hey Lacrystol did you see in that big post above about assisting the picture with the duckling with an unabsorbed yolk in a cup of water to help it absorb??? Have you tried that before??

I need to get on my computer so I can read through that part better....
A duck in a cup. LOL boy that sounds funny and it does look like there's a couple of drops of water in the cup, probably to help get humidity up.. LOL.. Duck in a cup hahahaha now I've seen everything..

almost as bad as that song on Saturday Night live D*** in a box with Justin timberlake. LOL
