This is more of a hypothetical question...since I do not plan on fencing in my birds with 3x3 wire fence. However I am getting about an acre and a half fenced in with 3x3 woven wire for goats and was wondering if down the road chickens could go in there. I would think that 3x3 could contain them but it definetly is big for poultry containment. Just wanted to hear others opinions on this.

I have woven wire 'goat fencing' on one side of my property, where the chicken coop is closer to the neighbor's place. It has electric tape on the top, at about 5' high, and the chickens avoid the fence. They do have acres to explore away from that fence, so there's little or no incentive for them to scale it. Young chicks can get through it, but not adult standard birds. Mary

Alright, thanks everyone. I figured they wouldn't be able to get through but it is an uncommon fence size and couldn't find any feedback on anyone who used it. Thanks again.
