I posted this in the pigeon section too, but it goes here too I guess.
I've never hatched anything before except for my pigeons hatching their own young.
I read on a different thread that someone hatched a chicken egg with their pigeons.
Is it possible? Would pigeons actually be able to hatch such a large egg?
Would I have to throw away the pigeons eggs? Would the pigeons actually be willing to sit on the egg for a extra week? Could I keep the chick with the foster parents (I know the parents would be a little confused)?
I'd keep them in a separate cage then the other pigeons.
Also would it be OK to put a not fertile chicken egg under to pigeon and then buy newly hatched chicks to put under them? How many chicks do you think they could handle? Two? What about a duckling?
