Could I get opinions on incubators?

Genisis 1588 has been doing great for me too.
TSC sells them check out their price.
Temp. all set at factory , got turner also.
table top model..... but it is styrofoam.

I have the Mini Eco, and so far I really like it. It holds a very steady temperature, but I can only fit 9 eggs in there at once. I know they claim it holds 10, but not for me! lol! You could probably fit 10 silkie eggs, though.

I know Brinsea has them on sale for $64.99 right now, and I want to say they had a Paypal option, but don't quote me on that.

This is my first hatch, so I don't have any hatch rates as of yet.

I just made an order on Brinsea. It only offered credit card options, but I used my Pay Pal debit card, hoping it will attach to my Pay Pal buyers credit since I don't have it all in the account. We'll see if it works. If not, I'll probably go with one of the styro-bators since I am already regretting spending that much on an incubator that holds that little amount of eggs. I normally had fine success with styro-bators. I just wanted something a little more reliable this time that could stand lots of usage, cleaning and time.

Thanks Farmgirl01 and ChickFila! 90% is REALLY good!!!

How tight are the hatches??? I currently have a LG 9200 hatching guinea eggs. The hatching has so far lasted five days.

Have you hatched Guineas before? Usually I have a few that pop out on day 25 then the rest stagger over the next few days. Of course I'm incubating in LG still air, so that might be part of it. lol

I'm also debating between Brinsea and Genesis.

I've had good hatches and bad hatches with the Genesis 1588. I've had several 100% hatches with my own eggs, but never that good with shipped eggs. So I'd say it's a good incubator.

I also have the RCOM 20, and it is excellent! I love the automatic humidity, because that is what gives the most trouble with the Genesis. I keep buying new hygrometers, and they all read differently!!??!

Even after calibration.

I put my really special eggs in the RCOM, and use the Genesis for the others.

I'm considering getting a Genesis. On average, what percentage of fertile eggs hatch?

There's lots of factors to change hatch rates, but I just ran a batch of eggs through one of mine, and out of 16 eggs that shipped from Maryland to Oregon, 14 went to lockdown, and 12 hatched!!

And honestly, I prefer my 1588 over my cabinet Dickey bator!

I have a borrowed Brinsea Eco right now which I LOVE! It only holds up to 10 eggs though. I fill my LG constantly and use a second to hatch. I would like a Brinsea, but they just don't hold as much as the genesis. Honestly.....if my eggs aren't going to sell as eggs, I need to sell them as chicks. 20 a month isn't going to cut it! lol So it looks like I'll go with the Genesis, but I the Brinsea is only $65 right now so I'm going to have a hard time not buying that too! lol
