We have a chicken that is hatching eggs. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=49142) We were getting the eggs from her to candle (they all are doing good) when I noticed one that was starting to hatch. It seems like it is fit and it would break through. Is it OK to intervene a little, like just lift up this flap

or something?

I've got my first batch of eggs in the bator now so I'm no expert by any means but, that membrane looks dry. You may want to try to assist but, if you run into blood stop. If the membrane is drying out and you have to stop you can wrap it in a wet towel or sock or some thing similar.

Good luck!
