We have this cinder block barn on our property and half of it has a dirt and broken concrete floor. The other side is nice and has a new roof, but we use it for storage for our yard tools and machines. Take a look at my photos and let me know what is right and what might be wrong with this setup. We will have 5 old hens and 6 new chicks once they get old enough.
We would remove the broken concrete, stray broken roofing, and put up roosts, a feeding area and nest boxes. We could use deep litter method on the dirt floor. Would it be bad to not fix the roof? I don't think predators could get through. Would the chickens get out? In could put up a net.
Thanks for your help!
