I just got some black English Orpington chicks and noticed that one of them has something "different". The chick in question looks just like the others, except that it's feet and beak are yellow, whereas the Orp have a greyish leg and darker beak. Do you think this one could be a Wyandotte (silver probably?) I have pics of them all together - but not one of the specific chick yet. Unfortunately my son picked up on the "different" chick immediately and named her "Happy Feet" and it's now his favorite. I bought 5 Orps, and didn't really want another SLW, but alas, will keep her if she is one (I already have 4) because my son loves her...
Here's a shot of them all:
You can see her second from the left - although she has more light on her (backlight technically) her beak and feet are really orange compared to the others. Other than that, they look really similar. Could she just be a strange looking Black English Orp?
Thanks!
Katie
