Granny's gone and done it again

No worries. I don’t usually take it hard, I figure I can’t change anything so why be so sad about it.
I personally don’t fear death, that probably makes it easier as well.
Sorry, apparently I missed something. Who died, Troyer? And where in MO will you be?

DId you pressure can them? Have you ever done quarts? Do you soak them first or just can them dry in water? How much beans per pint? When I pre-soak they come out so mushy. But that's what the Ball and Kerr canning guides say to do. ☹️
I pressure can them. I do presoak as well, and boil for 30 min. I haven't had much trouble with them coming out mushy, but I generally turn them into refried beans anyway. We have tacos every Wednesday and canned refried are just bean paste. lol

2 lbs of beans will make 7 pints with a little leftover. I have canned quarts, but we don't eat them fast enough. Only two of us, so pints work much better.

I have another canning recipe that suggests canning them without cooking. In fact, I don't think they even soak them. You just fill the jars about 2/3 full and finish with water, little salt. Then pressure can. I prefer my electric canner to my All American because it is so much easier, so that one wants me to soak and blanch.

Yes. But Australorps have REALLY shiny feathers, different from the Ameraucanas, whose feathers are kind of flat and dull. The Aussies, in the sunshine, flash like jewels, iridescent blue, purple and green. Almost dazzling. Like a hummingbird.
My favorites!!! I have 3 that are over 8 years old, and 3 that are about 8 months old. Several other chickens of other orpington varieties, but Australorps are my favorites. Or are Buff Orpingtons?
🤔
