Could It Be....No...Crowing?? @ 6 Days Old?

That's so cute! I've had Cochin crosses going ee-e-eee at less than a week old, never heard of a large fowl getting such an early start

An over achiever for sure

I thought mine was early at two months. I think he has all the roos beat.

It's the darnest thing to be in the bsmt (brooder is in bsmt bathroom) and hear that tiny squeaky crow through the door, LOL. DH thinks having the baby monitor from the coop sitting on the hatcher influenced the early crowing-after all, this baby heard three roosters crowing "in utero" for days before he hatched, LOL.

Now I have a use for the baby monitor that we bought when I had my son and have NEVER used. I also have a video cam on my boxes with the monitor upstairs in our family room. It won't do any good right now to have it but I figure if/when the eggs pip it would be fun to be able to keep an eye on things without having to live in the cellar.

I have a 5 week OEGB "crowing", and I thought he was early.
He doesn't have much voice right now so you can't hear it unless you're close by.

Henry our (now almost 5 month old) Spitzhauben cockerel started crowing at 2 weeks old, and I thought that was crazy. I attributed it to the fact that he heard Poopybutt outside and figured he was his role model. Here's a picture of Henry, but mind you this was taken back in August and he doesn't stand still even for a shutter.

I'm absolutely positive that he's crowing. My JG roo surprised us with his first attempt when he was 3 days old, making a little "brrpp, brrpp" type sound.

Your little guy's stance in the picture reminds me so much of my JG roo at that age. He's handsome already!
