Could it be, oh could it be an Australorp?

Silly me thought it was a Banty, but upon further inspection I decided its a standard size. I really checked her as much as she would let me and I started to think maybe she is an Australorp? What do you think? She is protective something fierce of these banty babies. Well I think the babies are bantys as the rooster was black frizzles and buff cochins.

She has a rose comb so she couldnt be an australorp and she has a black face which rules it out again. I am going to say she might have some australorp in her and maybe some sumatra or something but I dont know about the rose comb. What color are her legs?

She sure looks like an australorp... except for that comb. Did you get her as a chick or as an adult? Could her comb have been damaged somehow?

I don't think she looks like an australorp, and the comb looks more like a pea comb than like a rose comb. I would guess she is a mix, who are often better broodies than pure bred birds.

Probably has australorp and/or sumatra in her background.
