could my 4 month old BO possibly be egg bound?

Interesting re: plants in ground and resistance, I hadn't thought of it that way before.

First of all I'd stop worrying!! I would let thing come naturally. I know its really exciting but if you keep picking her up and putting her in the box and running out to the coop 5 times a day (trust me we've all been there!!

) Its gonna take FOREVER to come to that point. At 4 months I would say unless they're squating for you (or letting a rooster mount them) you've got a little while to wait! I wouln't keep forcing the nesting box either. She will lay where she feels most comfortable and if she lays where she's not supposed to you can move the eggs and correct her. From experience stress can prolong laying too.

I would also follow the advice of whoever said stay out of the emergency/illness section. It can you make you paranoid and start diagnosing things that your chickens dont have!! I've already tried to give my chickens a protein deficency, favus, impacted crop, and scaley leg mites on 3 week old chicks.

All of which they didn't have!!! It is nice to have a little back info if any of these things do come up but to much info can be bad too!!
