Could my Chickens save my Squash?

Thanks everyone for your advice. My husband went out with the Sevin powder and dusted everything. I let my chickens winter in the garden, because supposedly the bugs hide in the soil and come out in spring. So all winter and spring my chickens had free roaming of the yard. I havent' seen any difference in the amount of bugs. I think maybe I just need a bigger flock right?? Yeah thats it maybe I just need some more chickens.
