So i recently got this ugly guy, hes all half-bald and sun burned, pretty ugly.

after seeing the ugly chicken contest i got to wondering if mayb e hes just a double frizzle and lost his feathers because they were to brittle or something.

anyway, here he is:

One of my frizzles is like that, she is naked on the back/shoulders and neck because of the roo. But even though she was broody for like 6 weeks and he left her alone the feathers are not growing back in. Those wing "sticks" are wicked when she flaps them as I pick her up. I know where my bird came from and know that the dad is a smooth roo so she is not a double frizzle. I think some are just like that.

Poor little guy! He looks like his comb is so big he's going to topple over. Love his coloring tho! I'd like to give him to some of my white cochin girls and see what we'd get.

This is a frizzle i rescued last fall. I dont know much about frizzles, but i was told she is a double frizzle because her feathers curl right around, some complete circles.

Oh- that is sooo cute! What do frizzles feel like? I know my cochins are "softer" feathered than my other birds, but I've never seen/touched a frizzle in real life.

I am confused...I look exactly like that when I wake up in the mornings, but no one has ever called me "cute" or "adorable". What is up with that?
