Welcome to BYC - he's a beauty, but probably not a sex link. The color pattern is not that unusual among crossbreds. I agree that you should separate or eliminate some of the roosters before the hens become injured.

You can buy chicken saddles for overused hens- it covers their backs and allows them to heal somewhat and regrow feathers. A couple of sellers in the BYC buy, sell, trade forum -offer them on the "everything else for sale," thread.

Your rooster is beautiful, I hope you will be able to rehome the extras.

hi can you help me with my question about my red pullets from tractor supply , the chick closest to the front I believe is going to be a hen growing fast&getting the rust color in ......the chick towards the back I am not sure if it is just changing color slowly as it does not have much rust at all right now or if it will be a rooster ?.
