Hello, I have 8 6-week old chicks and 4 5-week old ducklings being raised together outdoor ina coop and confined area run. Today I found red poop after they were let out into the yard. Could this be coccidiosis?

It’s been really wet here in coastal NC and an area of the run is pretty wet and a bit muddy. As far as I know chicks are un-vax and feeding non medicated feed. I have seen no other signs or symptoms at all, not even sure which chick made that poop.
Reading that time is of the essence on treating this should I treat the whole flock with corid proactively, ducklings and all? Or wait and see if more develops? My research from BYC shows I don’t need to worry about my adult hens which share a common area, but Not a shared run with the chicks? Thank you all

With that much blood, I would get some Corid right away from a feed store or Tractor Supply. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days. Treat all chicks. Wet and warm weather, plus having older birds can make coccidiosis common.
