I have no idea what is wrong with her feet, and I'm really worried. She underweight, and even though she gets plenty of food, she doesn't gain any weight. She also gets cold reallly easily. Could you tell me what is wrong, and how I can treat it? I would really appreciate it!

Oh, and is it life-threatening? and if you need any more pics, say so and I'll get em up!

Well, the swollen knuckle suggests they're broken. But they discolored, shriveled tips suggest rotting flesh. Do they smell bad? Does she have any feeling in the tips? Can she move them? If they're broken, splint them and they'll heal. If they're rotten, have a vet amputate at the knuckle.

Frostbite on the toes. Needs a warmer pen and roost during the cold months. put a flat 2x4 board as a roost so the chickens can sit on their feet at night. Keeps them warmer. Don't allow them to be in a draft. To get some weight on her I'd go with Try some Buttermik, whole wheat, whole corn, layer pellets, Whole race horse oats. Electrolytes and vitamin (You can buy it powder form) in the water and be sure to louse and worm her. I'd wait to worm her after she starts getting a little weight on her (week or two). worms eat her from the inside, Lice eat her from the outside.

Mine had this same thing a few months ago...we took him to the vet and had the toes amputated. Antibiotic helped and he is all better now albiet a little 'stumped'. My vet said NO to frost bite....said it looked like a circulation problem. He always walked a little funny.....hang on I'll dig up my post to show you the pics.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! To answer some questions, she can move them to a point, and they don't really smell bad. She eats a ton. She's an Americuana. I'm pretty sure. She does lay blue-green eggs. Once again, thanks for all the replies! I'm forever indebted!
