Look at my Blue Laced Red Wyandotte in the front, isn't she beautiful? I am concerned that her eyes aren't opened all the way yet. Gonna go post on the Emergencies, Disease & Illness thread and see if anyone has any ideas.

I had a couple of ducks born like this. Not enough humidity during hatching was my prime suspect. I cleaned their eyes with a swab squirted with saline solution. It worked.

thanks. I did that and it worked well. This little-bit-a-nuttin' was the last straggler in the hatch so I suspect I let the humidity fall to soon after he hatched out, in anticipation of moving him to the brooder and setting my Christmas hatch.

I'll keep him hydrated and apply the compresses if his eyes get stuck again. I'll make some use of things I learned in nursing school!
