Were these IVF or IUI babies? Or natural conception...

Here are some pics...I was hoping to find an easy way to post these, but no such luck. I uploaded them the only way I know how.

Here's Simon shortly after birth:

I haven't been able to take many pics of them myself, but will try to get some more current ones from my sis. I've spent most of my time in Waiting Rooms or in T's room.

It was IVF. Two embryos were implanted, but one split, that's how they ended up with 3. So, Simon and Linus are the 2 identicals from the split egg, and Dexter was the other embryo.

Oh, Best Wishes and Prayers to you redhen! I hope all goes well with that. Remember what I said before about Linus...this heart problem had nothing to do with him being a triplet or anything like that. We have a lot of heart problems in our family, so it's probably somewhat genetic. I know of at least 4 immediate relatives with heart murmers/leaky valves, etc.

If you'd like to check out my Sis's blog, please feel free. They have kept this blog for about 2 years I think, with very detailed information (sometimes graphic) every step of the way. On the right side of the screen, there's a Blog Archive, if you want to start at the beginning, or at least the beginning of this year! http://astoryoftwomoms.blogspot.com/

Those baby boys are beautiful and so very lucky. I read through the blog, what an amazing journey it took for them to get here. They are very lucky to have 2 very loving parents that wanted them so very badly. Every baby should be so lucky.

that things go well for these little guys. Love the updates!

Ready for an update? Sorry it's been so long...time flies...

Simon: He's still having some feeding issues. They found out he has reflux pretty bad, that's why he's not as interested in eating. They started treating him for that and he seems to be getting better. I heard he sucked down his last 2 bottles with no problems.

Oh, now another issue popped up...he had sleep apnea twice this weekend. They're just watching him closely and hopefully that will stop on it's own.

Dexter: He's a champ! His lungs have developed and he's not having any more breathing issues. He's off all meds and IV and everything. He's eating from bottles and also breastfeeding with no problems! He's still tiny...only 4 lbs 3 oz as of a couple days ago. It's normal to lose weight in the beginning, then usually takes about 2 weeks to get back up to birth weight. He may actually go home this week...Amazing!!!

Linus: He's making small improvements day by day. They thought there might be a blood clot in his heart, but a trans-esophageal(sp?) echo determined there was no clot...yay! Every echo has showed slight improvement so they are holding off on any more procedures to see how his heart does all on it's own. He's off of all blood pressure meds and the hormones that kept his PDA open. So far so good. He was getting a little jaundiced, so they put him under the bili lights. If you look at my facebook, you can see some pics of him...very blue because of the lights. They are working on getting him off the ventilator, turning it down so he has to breathe more on his own. They've also started tube feeding him small amounts of breastmilk.
