What colors are the eggs?I was outside this morning from just before sunup until about an hour after. The ducks, as normal, were already up and quacking. The hens heard me and came out of the coop to get their breakfast. The pullets, OTOH, were lazy bums and just watched me from their perch not ready to start their day.
No eggs were in the nest boxes when I went in the people house for my own breakfast. Two hours later, I checked the nest boxes again and sure enough there was a cold egg in the one on the right that the barred rock uses and a very warm, just laid one in the left nesting box. I looked over to see if either of the youngsters was near. Nope. They were together scratching under the peach tree. IOW, still no idea who's reached puberty first.

dupe - my phone has lost its mind
Is it sort of pinky-beige, or out and out pink?
Honestly though, I might be curious but as long as they're happy and growing, that's what's important.
