Counter-Peristalsis Contraction

I had this happen this week. One time. I took photos. Welsummer hen. The outer egg didn't have the typical Welsummer spots, so I thought it was from another hen. When I cracked it open, the inside egg was definitely a Welsummer.

The outer egg shell was very thin. I dented it with my thumb picking it up.

I didn't weigh it.

Thing is - I don't think there is anything you can do about it. It is, what it is. Be aware as for possible other problems, or cull the bird.

Don't hatch any of this birds eggs.

I don't know which bird laid that egg?
