We're currently living in a travel trailer while we get the red tape and all figured out on building a home on my DH family property. And I'm frankly tired of washing dishes by hand. I know, poor me......

Has anyone used one and what brand. I understand that it won't work like the standard ones but none the less I'm interested in what the consensus is on these.

Oh, I feel for you!

Could a regular small size portable DW work if you made the space for it? I would have given up chair space or some counter space to fit a DW in if it'd fit through the door. Seriously, I would have been thrilled to build a lean-to to protect its outside storage so as to be able to have a dishwasher. I've cooked lots of meals, including entire holiday meals for large families, in a travel trailer and a dishwasher is worth it's weight in gold.

My neighbour says you could borrow his dishwasher for a while but she's busy fixing the roof at the moment.

I have a small portable dishwasher it only is 18 inches wide. Works great but twice the price of full size, got it at sears.

Vesta makes countertop dishwashers for RV's. They cost about $350.00 to 400.00 plus around $25.00 for the hose kit. Our last motorhome had a Vesta that was built in. We hardly used it but it worked great when we did.
