Couple questions about cross breeding...

Yes. The SLW crosses, the males will be more black and gray, the females more of a brown and black. The Barred rock crosses, the males will have a large white dot on the head, the females won't. The Brahma crosses, the males will hatch out grayish and white, the females brownish orange and yellow.

Basically the more pale, colorless, or light yellowish to white the chick, the higher chances you have a boy. The Barred Rock crosses are the easiest though, as the boys will have a large white dot on their head, down to the neck. If they carry dominant white, they might be very pale, but you'll still notice a yellowish dot on the head.

Illia, not sure if you'll see this...but the light Brahma...how much of a difference is there between Buff and Yellowish? I have 3 in incubation right now, looks like 1 light brahma, 1 SLW, and 1 BO...day 9 today...

Buff looks like this -

The males will appear lighter, more a yellowy and light gray color. There may be some blackish ones, but the key is that their underside and face will be paler. They'll start to feather out mostly white and black instead of orange and black.
