Couple questions...

Can you sex a baby chick by holding it tipped back almost upside down and if they draw the legs up its male... straight out female? I did this and got one of each...
My other question is, can they eat flock raiser crumble? I called around and was told that this is good for all ages...mine are only 2 days old and we bought it to feed to them and their mama.
We just moved mama hen and her babies into their own cage and hen run... hen had been setting on eggs for over 2 months and she finally got viable eggs that hatched her 2 babies

I'd say you have a 50/50 chance of being right with that method...

As far as the crumble question... what is the protein %? The chick starter I feed is 17% protein...

The tipping technique is a myth.

And if you have Purina Flock Raiser, it's 20% protein and yes, suitable for all ages. There should be a paper label sewed into the bottom seam of the bag containing ingredient and nutrition profile information.
