We are rasiing a few chicks so decided to add on to the run to give everyone plenty of room. The addition will be 8' L x 8' W x 4' T dded to the back side and completely covered. I'm considering filling in this portion of the coop with sand to give them a spot to dig around and stay cool in the summer. Any reason I shouldnt use sand?
