Questions about the corrogated plastic stuff..

I dont know too much about it, but from what Ive read on here, doesnt it:

get waaaaay too hot for the chickens? kinda like a sauna?
living in Tx would it split and crack in the hot heat?

If you whitewash it in late Spring, it will provide shade through the summer and the whitewash will be pretty much washed off by Winter, when it is good to have some thermal gain.

That is what they did in the olden days on greenhouses.

About the corrogated plastic,
we just installed ours today (finally). I dont think it will get too hot in there because it will just be over the run, which has no solid walls, just wire. We never really thought it would get too hot. Anybody else heard anything?????

We never had trouble with our greenish translucent fiberglass roof...i don't think it would get that hot with no walls

Plus i see you live in the bay area...most of the time it's not that hot around there...don't worry, just watch them, they'll show you if it's too hot!
