Hi,
My name is Terri. I have raised chickens and ducks for many years. Last year my Australian Spotted Bantams hatched about a dozen ducklings for the first time! This year I decided to get an incubator and hatch some chicks. I guess it’s been my Covid hobby and it’s been very rewarding. Last month my hens decided they were over sitting so I brought in their nest of eggs. Hatching a staggered hatch including both chicks and ducklings has been a learning experience! I have shared many little birds with friends and also sole enough to pay for a bag of chicken feed. I am ready for a break from hatching after my last one hatches I expect this weekend. My next time hatching I hope to get an improved incubator from my 2 $40 still air incubators and just keep them as backups.This site has been an amazing resource!

Hi Terri, Welcome to Backyard Chickens I'm so glad found us. This is a great time get into this hobby as for me this is my first time incubating eggs as well during Covid outbreak. We have 20+ chickens. This is the best site to come to get answers for many problems your gonna go thru.
