"Wish me luck," Dakota said. She turned and nuzzled Outcast both 'thank you' and 'goodbye' then headed for his gate. Opening it, she slipped out, leaving it unlatched as she hadn't learned how to relatch gates.

If I could lock myself back in, Cyril would never know I've been out. I'd have at least 4 or more months before he ever knew, Dakota thought to herself. Unfortunately, she didn't know how to gates behind her.
