coyote

This is exactly how the coyotes lure their prey out so the rest of the pack can kill it. Have seen it happen around here many times with peoples pet dogs. They will go 20 or 30 feet and stop and look to make sure they are still being followed... once the dog is far enough away from the house, the rest of the pack is waiting and make the kill.

Tomorrow evening I will be sitting in my workshop hoping to ambush any coyote that responds to my game call. My workshop is two storied and has a window overlooking the field adjascent to my coops. Wish me luck.

We used to use a light with a red lens when hunting coyotes at night. Supposedly the red light doesn't alarm them and they sort of ignore it. Hope you get him.

That cussed thing came through about 745 last night. I got the crosshairs on him just as he got to the thick brush. I won't take a shot I'm not sure of, even on a coyote. Hopefully today will be the day.

Protect your own!! I am not into killing unnecessarily, either, but if something attacked any of my "kids", they would be on the top of the black list!

we just killed one two weeks ago they are everywhere here and in packs !!! They are so bad in about seven counties the ag has bounties on them 20.00 a piece. Guy friend of my husband keeps a freezer and makes money off of them now I don't agree with that part but protecting your animals is a different story that is how bad they are around here.
