Coyotes

Killed another one this morning, dropped her in her tracks 15 steps from my back door. She looked as though she was nursing a litter of pups so I killed more than one. Yet another banner day!!!

You have to protect yours.

I am not dealing with a coyotes right now. Had a racoon we caught several weeks ago after two losses. Now I have had another loss and thought it was a racoon....saw tracks in the run because it was muddy. Call in some help and we spent the day working on the runs and trying to make Ft. Knox. Set the trap before bed.....for the second time it did not spring but something got a free meal. Will have the boys look at it today when they come up to help me finish.

I have babies in the garage and another incubator full. Things will be secure before they go out and for the sake of the ones that are out there.

I have a tree stand....told my DH that is out of town working that I was going to set it up in the oak tree and get me some night glasses so I can see! He thinks it's funny. He also said do what I need to make sure they are safe.....that is opposed to before he left and said 'ah, they're alright, they are just chickens'. Yesterday we aproned. Today we recover and secure any weak spots.

Tonight I will try again.

There is something in the open shed. I heard it yesterday when I walked by....it ran off. And the neighbors beagle was in and out yesterday chasing something yesterday. However, I think that was a cat. The tracks in the pen were racoon.

Still praying the coyote that came through here earlier this year has plenty to eat elsewhere!
