coyotes

Coyotes killed 3 of my chickens today! Now I'm afraid that they will be back each day to get the others...any suggestions on how to stop the coyotes? The feathers from the hens were in my horse pasture..so the horses being there didn't stop them! I lock them in their coop at night...tomorrow I'll be afraid to let them out! Help!!!

So sorry for your loss.

If it were me, I would keep the chickens in a secure run rather than free range - if that's where the coyotes got them.

Add Electric wire around the bottom, get dogs to protect your chickens, other repellers like" solar night eyes" to discourage the coyotes and chemical repellents.
