Crabapple Tree In Goose Yard?

Can I plant a crabapple tree in my goose yard? Or are the crabapples poisonous to geese?

A crabapple is essentially just a more wild variety of apple with smaller tarter fruits compared to more domesticated versions, often crabapples are used as pollinators for other apple varieties, so I’d say there’s no worry in planting it. There’s no more risk than a regular apple and my geese don’t have issues with mine.

No worries. My ducks eat them every year.

My geese eat them when they drop later in the season. Plant away.
