I noticed a small crack running down the middle of my Buff Orpington's beak. It must be new because I've never seen it before, I'm worried it might crack farther down her beak and become a problem. Any suggestions on what to do or what it's from?

I am not sure. however, a friend of our is a rehab vet and he glues turtles and tortoises back together with epoxy.
If you could reinforces the crack before it splits all the way through, you may save yourself some emergency work.
... but that is just a guess. I have never had beak repair issues.
Hopefully someone else can give you a definitive answer.

One of my RIR hens has that too, with a big chip right in the middle. It doesn't seem to be to be bothering her though. I haven't noticed any problems yet! I would just leave it and see what happens. Good luck!
