I was checking my ducks eggs this evening and noticed one had a very faint hairline crack going around it. I am not positive how old the eggs are but look pretty far along. I’m guessing day 23. Could the baby survive the crack?

I can't see the crack in the photo, which is probably a good thing, meaning it's barely. Typically the further along the crack occurs, the better the chance it will hatch. My worry would be about bacteria getting in, not the crack itself. If you want, you can put some clear nail polish or candle wax along the crack. Maybe someone has a better idea, but for now that might be all you can do. I think it will probably be fine. :)
