Cracked an egg

Glad I found this thread. Just cracked an egg before lockdown tomorrow afternoon. Used the candle wax idea and keeping my fingers crossed. No blood, no shell off - just a spiderweb crack. Keeping fingers Double crossed - and toes and legs and arms. lol. :O

As long as it's all sealed back up, it should work out great for you.. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR HATCHING. I couldn't believe it when it happened to me. Candle wax what a great idea... I'm ever so thankful for the person that came up with that..

I was candling one of my eggs when i stupidly dropped the flashlight in the bator! One egg shattered and 2 others cracked. I put medical tape on one egg that had a tiny crack, but one egg has a huge dent in it. The membrane was not broken, but the crack is huge! What do i do???

My very first hatch I cracked and egg and used wax to seal it and she hatched just fine. Its always a chance dont be disapointed if it dosnt hatch but there have been plenty of people that have hatched cracked eggs to testify that it can be done so there is always hope as long as the membraine is ok.

I had done this, I used candle wax, youR thought process is seal up the egg. I had a crack from one end expand to another with a large dent. I smothered it with candle wax and it hatched out fine.

I've actually dropped one egg and hit another crackng both of them. now I have learned to lick my fingers before touching the eggs helps with gripping them better....

I think it was just plain ol uncented taper candle wax. Note to self make shure to buy uncented tapers for emergancy repair for my hatching addiction
