Cracked egg accidentally on day 17 😭

The egg rolled out of the incubator while I was removing a hatched chick. Any chance it could make it?

It doesn’t look too severe. Let me see if I can find an article with some advice.

Take a birthday candle, light it and let the wax drip on the cracked areas. Use a candler/flashlight to make sure you cover all the cracks. I have hatched several eggs that had wax on the cracks! They do fine! One was cracked from the very beginning, and developed and hatched normally.

Was the removed chick a few days ahead of this one? If this one is about to hatch as well then you might not need the wax. But if it is day 17 and still has several days left, I think I would still put the wax on - it won’t hurt anything.
