Cracked egg in incubator?

Thank you. Is there a certain type of their thermometers that are good or the brand in general?

I use the regular glass thermometers. I use florist wire to hang them from existing screws. I position them in view of the window, right above the eggs.

Visible cracks will lead to rotten eggs, holding on to the egg will create a breeding ground for bacteria. In an enclosed environment it will devastate all healthy eggs.

But if you want to experiment with it I suppose you can choose to see for yourself.

Okay thanks. I bought extra eggs expecting some to have to be tossed anyway. I guess it’s not worth risking the other eggs especially so early on.

Thermometer

Sometimes aan egg will crack when it is getting ready to explode.

I'm terrible at candling. This is the gizmo. Maybe the light isn't strong enough or something.

I used a thermometer similar to this that gave a very close reading to the incubators reading. So maybe it’s the other thermometers that are incorrect
