All my babies say thanks for all the good advice!! They will welcome the new hatchlings with love:)

Hi i have a question I'm on day 16 of incubation with 3 call duck eggs and I candled them today an one looks a little different from the others. I'm worried that he has died bc when I candled him I saw veins but only on the side facing me and it looked like a little blood streak was forming also. Also his air cell isn't as big as the other 2 and he's not as big as the others either. Help please

That's a significant difference between the two, could you see movement before you thought it had died. I sent you a pm so we could talk that way

normal one with movement

One in question front

it looks like the cam did not fully develop, hence the back picture, i would leave it in the bator unless it smells

it is VERY obvious if it smells, i dont pull any until lockdown
ALSO calls are the hardest duck to incubate
is this your first time incubating them??

what incubator are you using,
what temp are you running,
what is the humidity at,
are you hand turning?
how many times per day are they turned
are they upright or on their side

yes 1st time incubating
Temp is 99.5
Humidity at 55-60%
They are upright
In a auto turner but I think I'm about to start hand turning and take the turner out
They are turning every 2 hrs as of now
And the reason I am worried is bc it has no veins in back just in front. If u turn it around back it looks empty but in front u can see veins and embryo
