My chick has been internally pipped for 12hrs, I read somewhere to make a small hole for her to breath, while making a hole the shell cracked like an inch. Will I have to assist in the whole hatch now?

Yes the hole is through the membrane, she is still making noise.
Idk the humidity but I added extra water in the incubator. And wrapped the egg in a wet paper towel but not where it’s cracked because I don’t want to cover the air cell that is cracked significantly.the hole also is not even close to where the chick is suppose to Externally pip.

Can you post some photos.
I would take off the wet paper towel. Then leave the egg in the incubator. Go do something else and leave it alone.

This is very good information. Read it over several times.
