One of my eggs cracked in the incubator . Its day 5 and the embryo is moving around just fine. You can only see it if you shine a light, and you can feel the indent. Will it survive?

Any kind of wax?
As far as i know... Haha. We had one cracked egg and i tried to go without, but I've heard members use "wax", "nailpolish" and "elmers school glue". I assume any kind of wax will work, but i would stick to a non-scented home candle wax. Try to cover the crack only, as you still want the tiny poures to be able to breathe.

I would just leave it. One of my eggs was cracked bad that you could see it from the outside. I put a question mark on it and put it back in the bator. It hatched all fine.

I think wax is the worst thing you could patch an egg with, it will smother the egg chick if not done right and most ppl who ask about a cracked egg.... well respectfully they probably wont have the experience to do it right.

If its a yolk- I would cast it out to the dogs without a thought of regret.
If a live chick- like the others said .."Do nothing and Just put it back in".... but keep an eye on it so if it dies it wont start rotting and contaminate the other eggs and/or start stinking up the joint.
