cracked egg

My son dropped a fresh egg this morning and left it on the counter. The egg is still intact, but it's cracked real good. I discovered it this afternoon. Can we still eat it or should I feed it to the cat?

It is probably OK. But is 1 egg worth the worry? I'd toss, then go get more eggs and make Creme Brulee.

I only have two laying hens at the moment so every egg has been savored. Oh well.
