Hello everyone, just wondering what to put on dry cracked feet and wheather or not to wrap them up after. My gooses feet have gotten very bad over the past couple days as I was letting her out to run around my garage which has hard concrete floors. I am not letting her on the concrete anymore but her feet are awful cracked and sore looking. The first pic is what they looked like before.

I have been putting silver sulfadiazine cream on them but not bandaging them up for a few days now and they look no different.

If they were just dry and cracked, I'd say petroleum jelly, or any other moisturizer, mine are rather fond of beeswax and shea butter.
But they doesn't look like very dry and cracked, I think its bumblefoot. But I only have chickens, so I'd wait for more replies.

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking that it could be bumblefoot but couldn’t find a scab. I guess I will just have to start treating it like it’s bumblefoot and hope it gets better.

Yes I will definitely keep her off the concrete. The one lump on her toe in the second picture does feel kind of hard but that could just be the normal calluses either. I’m not sure.

You could do some warm Epsom salt soaks and see if that softens it up. Other wise keep an eye on it if it get swollen and she starts to limp then you may have bumble. You can also soak and spread clear iodine over the area if you want.
