Hey everyone, today is day 11 and I'm incubating a finch egg so it should be hatching in a couple days. I candles it and noticed for the first time it wasn't moving which really worried me, as I picked it up I cracked the egg. I immediately put tape on it and put it back in the incubator. Is there anything I should do?... Should I worry about it not moving?... Please respond asap, thank you!

A cracked egg usually does not hatch. And if it does how are you going to take care of it? I read about many people posting of seeing movement in eggs. The only time I see movement is when the eggs has started to hatch; and that can be a period of days depending on the specie. What kind of finch? Finch eggs that are white start off by having a pinkish/yellowish look to them and as the incubation process continues the eggs become opaque and appear darker/blueish. I have hand fed tiny finches from day 1 with success. Feel free to PM me if you need further assistance. Good luck.
