Hi, so I have had a bit of an accident...

When going to turn my goose egg the lid slipped out my hand and smashed the shell, however it didn’t get through the membrane.
I am current on day 26 so I have stopped turning now. I can see the guy is still alive and rocking about in the egg also.
I have read up on it and I am unable to repair the egg.
Would anyone happen to have any advice or tips as it will be a shame if it doesn’t hatch now since goose eggs take a while to hatch :(
Thanks

Can you take a picture of the egg? There still may be a way to cover the crack.
If not, you will probably need to assist it to hatch soon or the membrane will dry out and the gosling will not be able to hatch on it's own and will die.

Hi, thanks for replying, this is what it looks like. It’s now day 27 and the gosling is still alive and rocking about in the egg. I have been brushing some water on the mebrane every hour or so. I am unsure to wait until it pips or not ?. Thanks
