Crafters! What are you planning for the new year?

I plan to work on my soaping and bath and body products. I plan to make more blankets and more jellies. I plan to start going to festivals to sell my products. I'm trying to start up a business "The Campbell Homestead, homemade items"

I crocheted an "afgan cover" for my couch; so I plan to start a matching one for the loveseat;

Various knitting projects, including socks and floor mats;

Get back into making beaded jewerly (I sell bead supplies and have no time to actually bead anymore!!!)

i just bought a soldering iron yesterday at joann's . . . i'm so excited!
i want to start crafting little sculptures out of aluminum cans (cut the cans up so i can "re-claim" the aluminum. soda cans are so colorful i figured i could do some really wild/beautiful things with them and they are CHEAP.
i saw a giant iron rooster sculpture on ebay and i wanted to do something like it but i don't have the facilities to do large metal sculpture so i started thinking about how i could do it small-scale and that's how i came up with the can idea. i cut one apart the other night and it is suprisingly easy. i used a craft scissors made for metal and it cut right thorough the aluminum like it was paper!
i will post some pics when and if i actually complete one (ha ha!).
right now i'm painting a picket fence purple for my bunny area. they've been living in one half of my game room sectioned off by puppy pens but i thought the picket fencing would be way cuter. my significant other picked the purple paint

anywhoo . . . isn't art and crafting great?

As I was reading, I thought you were putting the purple picket fence outside. It's going in your family room? That is so much more fun! You should post a picture of it, when it's done. I would love to see that. I am a big rabbit fan, too.

hi ww,
yup, it's going INSIDE the house!
the bunnies are indoor housebunnies who use litterboxes. they get to come out of their designated area with supervision.
i will post some pics once it's all done. i went to the craft store last night and got a bunch of non-toxic poster paint so that if the bunnies chewed on the wood the paint wouldn't hurt them. right now my hands and arms are kinda dyed redish/purpley - big fun!
i will also soon be building an indoor area for rubio - the handicapped rooster. i'll probably go to town and paint that some odd combo of colors too (my living room is purple and green - ha ha!).

I have such a long list already I don't know if I can get it all done before christmas next year!! I love the soap making and have bought alot of nice silicone molds so I will do some of that for Valentines and again for Christmas. I am making cork wreaths, cork wreath pins, beaded wine bottle stoppers, beaded crochet stitch markers, felted wool pins, a crocheted afghan or two, and some painted, decopagued and wood burned gourd egg ornaments...maybe some more things later as I think of new things I want to try out. The soap in those big decorative jars was such a big hit as gifts this year that I will defiantley do some more of those. I have some glass heart shaped dishes for valentine soaps. Needless to say, I love to craft!!!! Darlene
