I think there are people out there who would sign that contract, but I know I am certainly not one of them. We were looking at adopting a companion horse a long time ago from a standardbred farm. These people had the most bizaare adoption contract. Not only did they want to check out our land before hand (Which is fine), but they wanted us to allow them visitation at any time on any day. They also wanted the right to come and take the horse back at any point. It was ridiculous and we walked away. An animal that comes with those stipulations is never YOUR animal! We ended up buying a wonderful gelding from a man who buys horse from the auction and resells them. Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure we ended up with a standardbred or a standardbred mix anyways!
