Craigslist phone verification?

I was trying to post on cragslist, but apparently now to post in the farm/garden section you need to give them your number and an automated recording will call and give you a code which you have to enter.

Its been over 5 min. and I still havent gotten a call.

Has anybody else have to do this?

I have I tried a txt first and it never came. So I then just had it call and it was not even 30 secs I got the call.

You only have to do the phone verication thing once. After that you can post all you want..

It didnt used to be that way though. One day I logged on and tried to post. Then they wanted my number.. Bad thing is. You can only use your phone number once, for one account. My husband and I have different craigslist accounts. We post about different things. Now only one of us can use our account.. Bummer.. What if your phone number changes or you get a new one. And it was already used by some one else. It cant be used again..

Are you giving them your area code too. If not, then they may have tried to call and couldnt get through

Oh you could also post on kijiji.com
Its like craigslist. But you dont get flagged. But it does take about 24 hours for your ad to show

that's all i use is Kijiji because around here most people use it and not Craigslist
