Haha, thanks. I actually have some rabbit pellets I bought recently and no longer have a rabbit to feed them to. I was toying with adding them into the chicken feed.

I will get some updated pictures for everyone. He is absolutely enormous, but his belly is a bit of a mess. I've been trying to force him to stand more by propping his food up on a bucket.

I am still worried about him. The gurgling is getting much, much worse and I have no idea what to do about it.

Hi everyone.

Sausage passed away around 3:00 pm. I returned home from work and went about my usual routine of checking on my animals. I saw him lying on his side in his hut, with this head propped up in the corner. Fearing the worst (and rightfully so) I gently brought him out into the grass to make him more comfortable. He looked to be having trouble breathing, and very quickly his comb turned very dark purple, he convulsed a few times, tried to cluck, and then settled down and went quietly. There was really nothing I could have done. I was sitting with and comforting him the entire time, stroking his back the way he liked, so at the very least he was not alone. I buried him under one of our young pear trees.

I am very upset at his loss, but it was something I am unsurprised about happening. What a horrid way to go... I understand the nature of meat birds, and their necessity in today's world, but it is so very unnatural.
