Thank you for your kind words, everyone. I'll have one less waterer and feeder to take care of in the morning, but I'll be sad about it all the same. I am quite glad for the time I did have with the "little" guy and I do hope he's somewhere better. He was definitely an interesting, lovable, and unique critter with a vibrant personality.
I'm happy you saved one from the factory farm fate, though, he was allowed to live out his life normally, even though it was cut short by heart issues. He was a pretty boy, despite his unfortunate breeding.
