Crap, How do I get rid of lice??????

I have had my best luck using Permethrin spray.

Even though some of my birds had mites they still layed. When it gets hot here the birds slow down and I get fewer eggs. Our temperatures here have been in the 90's.
 
Wow, didnt think my reply was offensive! Read up on wood ash, its actually has health benefits for them. I was simply trying to help.
Sorry, I meant no disrespect, I just wanted to know how you would treat one of yours if you discovered it was infested with lice? I ask because an infested bird is unlikely to dust bathe, and lice can kill them, so how do you get rid of the lice? I use wood ash as a preventive, but I don't think I would use it as a treatment. Sorry if I offended you. :hugs

my birds have had lice and using the dust bathe eliminated them and they did indeed continue to dust bathe. All are healthy and happy now and wood ash is all I use in the winter.
